Ísland

I recently embarked on a 9 day trip to Iceland between jobs at the mine. I flew from Seattle to Minneapolis to Reykjavik, and Mike Moszczynski (Mozen) flew Boston to Reykjavik. With an identical arrival time, we met at the airport. We rented a car on our second day there and started a whirlwind tour of the country, travelling 2700 kilometers by car, 200 kilometers by ferry, and uncountable kilometers by foot. Our tour took us to, in our opinion of course, all the most important tourist destinations that we could cram in with a 7 day car rental. I won't even try to recount all of our adventures because any attempt to do so would take hundreds of words and would still be far from a complete picture of the trip. I'll just let you get to the photos. The titles of the photos should provide some idea of what each photo is, and if you'd like to know anything more about any of the photos just talk to me or Mozen.

Full quality panoramas here: of random fjord, Dynjandi, and Heimaey. ('ey' means island, so this is 'Home Island').

Movies here: of Dynjandi (which literally means 'the place of white noise'), the winds of Latrabjarg (which is the westernmost point in all of Europe), and a baby gull learning to land in the cliffs of Heimaey.
